The queen of the mountains

In winter, Mount Rigi offers a variety of different ways to spend an unforgettable winter’s day.
Whether winter hiking, snowshoeing, skiing in family ski areas, cross-country skiing or sledging, there is certainly something for everyone on Mount Rigi.

Stoos

The steepest funicular railroad in the world takes you right to the heart of the mountain village of Stoos.
In winter, you can enjoy various sporting activities such as winter hiking, tobogganing and airboarding, but the ski area also offers you a varied selection of 35 kilometers of pistes suitable for families with different levels of difficulty.

Ski / Snowboard

The larger Hoch-Ybrig ski & snowboard area offers perfectly groomed pistes, fantastic panoramic views and an NBC snow park and ski cross park.
You can also go sledging and cross-country skiing.

Another large ski area is located in Sörenberg, where you can enjoy over 53 kilometers of slopes with a large selection of runs of varying degrees of difficulty. There are also various options for non-skiers, such as “ski biking”, tobogganing, ice skating or winter hiking.

Ice skating

The outdoor ice rink at the BOSSARD Arena in Zug offers the best skating opportunities for beginners and advanced skaters alike.

Action World

ActionWorld in Obfelden offers the perfect program for bad weather: there you have a large selection of escape rooms of various levels of difficulty.
However, if you’re not a fan of puzzles, you can also enjoy a more sporty activity with laser tag or indoor mini golf.

Museum

The city of Zug offers you a wide range of different museums, from traditional crafts to air defense systems and contemporary art.

You will also find a variety of museums in Lucerne, including the famous “Verkehrshaus”, the most visited museum in Switzerland, which displays a large collection of locomotives, cars, ships, airplanes and exhibits from the field of communication.
There is also a planetarium, movie theater and the “Swiss Chocolate Adventure”.

Indoor pool and wellness

The “Allmend” indoor pool in Lucerne offers an exciting, sporty experience for young and old with its large swimming pool, adventure pool, diving pool, children’s paddling pool and a water slide.

If you want to take it a little easier and prefer wellness with a whirlpool, sauna and massages, the Eichstätte fitness park in Zug is just the place for you.
There you can recover from a strenuous day and relax.

Gym and fitness classes

In the nearby municipality of Rotkreuz, there is an Activ-Fitness gym right next to the train station.
During opening hours, you can buy a single entry ticket at reception and train on the equipment or take part in the daily fitness classes.
The sauna area (separate for men and women) can also be used.

Arth-Goldau Zoo

Goldau Nature and Animal Park is the family-friendly local recreation area in Central Switzerland.
It is open all year round and is home to around 100 native and European wild animal species.
One of the many highlights is the open area accessible to visitors, where the sika deer and mouflons can be fed with special zoo food.

Nightlife

Dance your way through the numerous party locations in Zug and Lucerne and pay a visit to the famous “Roadhouse” Lucerne, the “Schwarzes Schaf” Lucerne or the “Lounge & Gallery (LG)” Club Zug, for example.

Paintball farm

Our neighboring municipality of Dietwil is home to one of the largest paintball fields in Switzerland for action fans!
It extends over 4 floors and is set up like a huge adventure playground.
